Counselling & Psychotherapy Sessions

For many of us, parenting is one of the most important and privileged “jobs” we will ever have. It is demanding, challenging, exhausting, but also rewarding.  You as parents are the pillars of the family. You are the most essential source of love, encouragement, trust-building, and sense of security for your children. Healthy, supportive dynamics between you and your young build the foundation for them to grow into positive, secure, resourceful, and competent adults.

However, being the “good enough” parent isn’t always easy. Often times, you may have stresses from work and other relationships, unmet personal needs, or other personal and challenges that get in the way of being the parent you wish to be. There may be intergenerational traumas and marital issues that hamper the development of nurturing parent-child relationships. You may also feel at a loss as to how to set healthy boundaries as your children grown into their adolescence and young adulthood. Differences in perspective between you and your co-parent can pose further challenges that frustrate your efforts to support your children.

Despite the complexity of the parenting, we can unravel the various issues and create solutions that will bring you and your children closer together, improve the interpersonal dynamics, and establish healthful familial structure.
